DYE SUBLIMATION
Grid Magic Design Software
Simple, quick and easy design software... amazing results!
The Grid Magic Dye Sub software contains five packed modules:
Grid Design
This module is where you start to create your original artwork, on a user definable grid, up to 400 x 400 pixels. You can import images such as jpeg, gif, tif and bitmap. Use tools you will recognise, such as: Pen, Line, Square, Circle, Bucket Fill, Text, Graduations and Dings to create simple patterns from a user definable colour pallet. You can also rotate your design, flip horizontally or vertically and apply symmetry or roll functions.
Artwork
This module is where you can apply powerful image processing techniques, normally found in complex industry design packages such as Photoshop or CorelDraw. The image processing functionality including: Smudge, Splatter, 3D colourise, Solarise, Rotate, Swirl, Implode, Explode, Colour Spread, Sketch, Negative, Greyscale, Colour Boost, Colour Morph and borders, are accessed from simple 'one click' buttons, sliders or numerical entry boxes.
Mosaic
This module is where you can send your artworks and combine and manipulate different tiles, to make complex mosaics and repeating patterns. Mosaic has parent tiles, displayed on the left of the screen. The 'parent tiles' are the designs you have sent to Mosaic from other work areas. They are called parent tiles because they can have 'children' - these are the copies of the parent tiles you drag to the grid.
Portfolio
This module is where you can store, categorise, sort and save your designs and art work. You send to Portfolio from Grid Design and Art Work.
Presentation
This module is where you make high-quality Presentations of your art work and designs. You send your art work and designs here from other parts of gridmagic and can apply text, frames, borders and resize your canvas.
Simple design process, powerful image processing, but easy to use!
Recognising that teaching students to use industry standard design packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator or CorelDraw is a difficult task, and that the site licences for these packages can be prohibitively expensive, we have created the Grid Magic Design Software.
Exclusively planned, around the needs of the student and teacher, rather than professional graphic designers, the software introduces students to advanced image-processing techniques and allows print output via preset templates, suitable for blank sublimation imprintable items.
This innovative software package is easy-to-use, and suitable for students of all ages and abilities, including those with special educational needs.
The software features five modules, each onepacked with loads of functionality and tools.
In addition, the software includes a Resource Centre that contains:
- Over 40 individual Art Projects
- 6 Teachers guides with Curriculum and QCA links
- Cross Curricular and Mixed ability Teaching
- Planning and Assessment resources
- A gallery of Inspirational Artworks
- Example files
